EXPRESSING MYSELF THROUGH:

DANCE & MODELING

DANCE

I used to think my 11 years of Rhythmic Gymnastics were the peak of my performing arts career. Boy, was I wrong! At age of 23, I stumbled upon the world of heels classes, and let me tell you, I fell head over heels in love. Next thing I knew, I was diving deep into the dance scene, trying out everything from hip hop to heels, chairs, and beyond. One thing led to another and I got signed with 216 Talent Agency. I know this is just the beginning of my dance career, so I'm super excited to see what's to come.

Rhythmic Gymnastics was my safe space as a little girl. It was the only place I felt comfortable being myself. More importantly, I learned to express myself in my routines. Judges and coaches always told me my facial expressions made me stand out amongst everyone else. When I stepped into the dance world, I discovered a plethora of other ways I can express what I feel. When I put on a heel, I embrace the confident sassy energy within. When throwing on some cargo pants and jump into a hip-hop or jazz-funk choreo, I tell a story with every move. The dance floor becomes my canvas, the music turns into a rainbow of colors, and I become the brush that paints a picture filled with emotion and creativity.

MODELING

Modeling was something I always knew would come around. In my role as an influencer & content creator, I've had the opportunity of collaborating with over 50 diverse brands, sharing numerous photos across various industries such as fashion, food, and health & wellness. Whether capturing moments with a self-timer or collaborating with professional photographers, I've come to realize my genuine passion for being in front of the camera. Since my childhood, I've received compliments about my appearance, particularly my hair, from various sources such as brands, photographers, and even strangers on the street. Having navigated through diverse identities and pursued various careers, it seems like I've been unofficially modeling for years.

Reflecting on this journey, I asked myself, "Why not officially embrace the title of a model and see where it leads?" Therefore, I've decided to define myself as a model, and I am excited to explore the possibilities that lie ahead. This realization is not just about recognition but also a culmination of my love for the camera and the validation I've received over the years. I'm eager to see where this intentional step into modeling takes me in the future. I have a big feeling that my combination of my natural attributes and professional qualities will land be some very exciting opportunities in the modeling industry.
